Yet, there are two more poplar coaches on the Lakers radar the will also be interviewed. Kevin Ollie, a LA native and former NBA player. He could be the fresh face the Lakers need. Kevin Durant decribed Ollie as a “Game Changer” as he played with Ollie in his last years in OKC. Although, the Lakers are looking to win now with Kobe planning to retired soon. Then there is John Calipari, whom is coming off a tuff defeat in the NCAA championship game. Could he be what the Lakers need? A source close to Calipari says “He’s a God in Kentucky” (LAtimes.com) and there wasn’t a chance he would leave. There are also other names coming up for interest, Derek Fisher, who plans on retiring at the end of the season, Steve Karr, and Tom Thibodeau. The Lakers will most likely not make a decision on their coaching job until after the NBA draft on June 26th.
