As the Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade are deep in negotiation talks of Wade’s future in Miami, there could be a new player the Heat have their eyes on, 6-time All Star Kevin Durant. According to CBS Sports,
“The Heat seems to want Wade to opt into his contract for next season at $16 million, then become a free agent and leave their and his future blank-check open. This will give the Heat the flexibility it craves to make a run at a player like Kevin Durant. The Heat can have room for Wade, Bosh, Goran Dragic, Hassan Whiteside, and Durant but only if Wade opts in for this year and gives them that flexiblity by being a free agent in 2016.”
Now, we can now see and understand the side of the Miami Heat in their negotiations of Wade’s contract. The Heat are thinking BIG. Not only big but the future as well. KD is young, exciting, and fans love him. Pat Riley is a smart business man and understands Miami is a attractive destination for any athlete. If Riley could team James-Wade-Bosh for three seasons, imagine what could happen if Durant considered taking his talents to South Beach.
