Atlanta United vs Disney City; Part III: The Benz

Atlanta United Football Club will face off against Orlando City Soccer Club Saturday afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In their previous two clashes, the 5 Stripes have taken four out of a possible six points thanks to key goals by Tito Villalba in both matches.

Atlanta is 2-0-0 in their new digs as they come off of their 7-0 win against the New England Revolution Wednesday night. Forward Josef Martinez bagged a hat-trick after 38 minutes as the Revs were dismantled from two red cards and Atlanta’s offense.

Meanwhile, Orlando City visits Atlanta following a 2-1 win against D.C. United at RFK Stadium on September 9th. Orlando is 9-12-7 and has  34pts, leaving them 7 points adrift of the playoff places.

This match will set the Major League Soccer record for highest attendance at a standalone match. The previous record was 69,255 for the LA Galaxy’s first-ever match at the Rose Bowl in 1996.

The match can be seen on Univision (14 standard/814 HD – Comcast in Atlanta, 869 – Dish Network, 464 – DirecTV), Facebook Live (in the United States) and MLS Live (in Canada).
