Atlanta United, FOX Sports Assemble All-Star TV Team

Monday, Atlanta United Football Club announced the broadcast team for their FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast telecasts. Alan Green and Kevin Egan will handle play-by-play duties, Dan Gargan will provide color commentary and Brittany Arnold will be the studio host and sideline reporter.

“We’re thrilled to have such a distinguished and dynamic group of talent for our broadcasts,” said Atlanta United president Darren Eales. “With Alan’s vast experience calling major international tournaments and Kevin’s strong MLS and hosting background, they will lend a unique and qualified point of view to our play-by-play commentary.  We are also very excited to welcome Dan to the team providing the perspective of a former MLS player turned analyst, as well as Brittany who brings fantastic energy and presence to the field.”

Alan Green is currently employed by the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) as a radio host, play-by-play announcer and commentator. He joined the BBC in 1982 and has been BBC Radio Sport’s lead commentator since 1990 hosting a variety of programs such as ‘6-0-6’, ‘BBC Match of the Day’ and the BBC World Service program, ‘World Football.’ Green has covered more than 115 major finals, seven World Cups, eight European championships and several UEFA Champions League Finals.

Green will join FOX Sports following the Champions League final in Cardiff, Wales for Atlanta United’s June 17th match against Columbus Crew at Bobby Dodd Stadium. He will work the remainder of the season and will resume his work with the BBC at the end of Atlanta United’s campaign.

Kevin Egan previously worked as a TV commentator and host for beIN Sports. He has provided commentary on their broadcasts of La Liga, Serie A, reported pitchside from El Clasico on numerous occasions and U.S. World Cup Qualifying matches. Prior to joining beIN Sports, Egan was a commentator and host for the Chicago Fire for three seasons. Egan will call the first five regionally televised matches on FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast beginning April 8 at Toronto FC.

Dan Gargan spent 12 years as a professional footballer, spending 11 of them in MLS. He was drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the 2005 Supplemental Draft. Gargan appeared in 185 matches, started 149 matches and won the MLS Cup in 2014 with the LA Galaxy. Last season, Gargan served with LA Galazy broadcast team last season and will be Atlanta United’s first color analyst.

Brittany Arnold has served as an on-air host for beIN Sports, hosting the Express pre-match show, their post-match wrap-up show and beIN Sports News, providing daily news updates. She has covered the English Premier League and La Liga for beIN Sports. Arnold is a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago with a journalism degree. Brittany is bilingual and will cover English and Spanish-language sideline reporting for Atlanta United.

“The Atlanta United broadcast team has a wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of the game that will undoubtedly connect with the club’s passionate supporters,” said Jeff Genthner, senior vice president and general manager, FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast. “We’re extremely proud of our new partnership with Atlanta United and looking forward to our first telecast on Saturday, April 8.”

According to a press release from Atlanta United, FOX Sports Southeast and FOX Sports GO will debut the weekly series, Atlanta United: Match Week on Tuesday, April 4th. Hosted by Arnold, the show will provide unprecedented access to Atlanta United, including comprehensive previews of each week’s upcoming match and exclusive interviews with players and coaches.

Also, FOX Sports’ regular season coverage of 19 games will begin with Atlanta United at Toronto FC on Saturday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports South and FOX Sports GO. Each telecast will include Atlanta United LIVE!, a 30-minute show before and after every game.
