This comes to a complete surprise to me, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau could be coaching his last year as the head coach of the Chicago Bulls. For the past three years, the Bulls have come to the Eastern Conference playoffs with a battered roster. Their star player, Derrick Rose out for the majority of those season. As I read more details of this report I see this choice has more than basketball included in the decision.
Y! Sports reports, “Its hasn’t mattered that Thibodeau has taken the Bulls to the Playoff each season he has been running the show and consistently kept this team in contention without Rose. The relationship between head coach and front office was described as “Beyond repaired” earlier this season, and winning appears to have done nothing to remedy the situation.”
This isn’t the first time a front office has looked passed a team’s work on the court. The Golden State Warriors fired Mark Jackson for just about the same decision. I think it is very pathetic to fire a coach basically over personal issues but everything has a ending point and Tom Thibodeau will have no hard time finding another coaching job if he is let go.
