Fans openly debate where their team is on the latest AP, Coaches and now the College Football Playoff Poll. It’s red meat. The poll has stirred the pot on sports talk radio, caused Twitter fights and left some fan bases feeling cocky.
So, why won’t you see college football coaches talk about the latest College Football Playoff poll? I have a one-word answer for you: Distraction!
“You won’t see me wasting any time watching TV or watching who’s 1, who’s 2,” Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban said October 31. “It really doesn’t matter. What really matters is how you play the rest of the season, how you focus the rest of the season, how you stay focused the rest of the season. If our players think anything of it, then that could be a problem and an issue, too. These are the things that we try to categorize as poison that you really don’t want your players to be focused on or thinking about. But I appreciate you asking, so I could get this off my chest.”
Georgia, Alabama, Notre Dame and Clemson are the top four teams in the latest College Football Playoff Poll. Of course, Georgia fans are excited!
In honor of getting 280 characters I would like to first thank God. Second, I would like to than @espn for employing me for the twitter only position. I can now tweet even more about Georgia football although none of you care. Speaking of the Dawgs are #1 yet again. #DawgsOnTop
