Two of the best teams out of the western conference, The San Antonio
Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will battle in the final round to advance to the NBA finals. The Spurs won 62 of 82 games this season. Adding on, Coach Pop was awarded ‘Coach of The Year.’ With the good comes the bad. Starting PG Tony Parker is battling an injury to his hamstring and did not return in their close out game verses the Blazers. To bet the Thunder, the defending western conference champs need Parkers agility to drive the land and contain OKC’s Westbrook on the defensive end. Not to go without mentioning OKC announced that Serge Ibaka is “expected” to miss remainder of the 2014 postseason with a left calf injury. OKC did not officially rule Ibaka out, this could be a smart strategy for the Thunder by to confuse the Spurs on Ibaka’s role in the series.
